What are your hours of operation?

We’re open Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, offering full-day care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.

What ages do you accept?

We welcome children from 6 weeks to 12 years old.

Do you offer part-time or drop-in care?

Yes! We offer part-time care (minimum 3 days/week). Drop-in care may be available depending on space.

Are you licensed and inspected?

Yes. Abida’s Home Childcare is fully licensed and undergoes regular inspections to meet state requirements.

Do you accept DSHS or subsidy programs?

Yes, we accept DSHS subsidies and other childcare assistance programs.

Is my child supervised at all times?

Absolutely. Children are supervised at all times, including during naps. We follow safe sleep practices for infants.

What are your cleaning procedures?

We clean and disinfect daily, including toys, surfaces, bathrooms, and learning areas, using child-safe products.

Will my child have a place for their things?

Yes—each child has their own labeled cubby for personal belongings.

Can my child bring a favorite blanket or toy?

Blankets are welcome, especially for nap time. Toys should stay at home to prevent loss or damage. We do offer special show-and-tell days.

Are meals and snacks provided?

Yes! We serve breakfast, AM snack, lunch, and PM snack—all freshly prepared, balanced, and nutritious.

How do you soothe children who are upset?

We ask parents about what works at home and do our best to use the same comforting methods.

What if my child is sick?

Children must stay home if they are ill and may return once they’ve been fever-free for 24 hours without medication.

What do I need to bring to enroll?

You’ll need to complete and sign:

Registration form

Child care agreement

Permission forms (for sunscreen/diaper cream)

Immunization record

Handbook acknowledgment

Medication authorization (if applicable)
